MICHauto "Discover Auto" Career Series

The MICHauto "Discover Auto" career series is a roadshow of Michigan-based automotive OEMs and suppliers who visit engineering schools across the state to interact with students and promote the automotive industry, improve the perception of working in today's automotive industry, and increase awareness of career opportunities in the industry.

Attendees at the University of Detroit Mercy (UDM) "Discover Auto" will hear from Bill Kozyra, Chairman, President and CEO of TI Automotive, a leading global automotive supplier. Kozyra, an alumnus of the UDM Engineering School and a member of its Hall of Fame, will share his passion for the automotive industry, the state of Michigan and the city of Detroit, highlighting his 40-year automotive career and providing insight into the current state and future prospects of the industry and its ever evolving technology.

Attendees will then hear from a panel of recent UDM graduates now working in the automotive industry. The panelists will discuss their decisions to enter the automotive industry, highlight what they enjoy about working in the industry and talk about the career opportunities that are provided to them by their respective employers.

Following the panel discussion, attendees will attend a networking reception with executives from several automotive companies, including but not limited to: American Axle & Manufacturing, IAC, IAV, Nissan, TI Automotive, Toyota, Visteon, and Yazaki.
